Melissa
Melissa had been teaching barre since 2018 but fell in love with it a few years before that, when she found her love of movement and music after focusing her time at home with her kids. Barre became more than just a workout, but a place to reconnect with other women and build a strong foundation of strength and endurance to keep up with her growing kids!
Melissa loves the classic moves of barre and pushing through that extra set that you would never do at home on your own. She loves teaching the Move with Baby classes because she understands how important it is to take care of yourself while raising little ones.
When not in the studio, Melissa likely is reading or cheering on her kids at one of their activities. Her kids listen and check out all the latest dance music releases with her and her daughter is a constant source of good chill music for her cool downs.

Emily is an active lifestyle enthusiast! She was drawn to the practice as a way to reduce stress while also building confidence and strength. She loves that yoga challenges her to seek a balance of effort and ease, both on and off the mat.
You can expect sequences that fire up the core, build awareness of alignment, and encourage mindful movement. We'll move to a soundtrack of electronic and indie dance music.
When she is not on her mat, you can find Emily cycling around the city, checking out neighbourhood farmer's markets, or adventuring in the mountains.

Vanessa
Vanessa was a sporty kid but drifted away from fitness as a teenager. When she found group fitness classes, she fell in love. The sick music, inspiration from other badass women in class and the instructors helped reignite her love for movement, which eventually motivated her to take the leap to attend her first barre instructor training. After teaching barre classes for a few years, Vanessa took the leap and decided to become a yoga instructor as well.
Vanessa began teaching fitness classes at 21 years old and her career path quickly shifted to align with her love for group fitness and yoga. She currently manages a corporate gym by day and is a yoga teacher and barre instructor by (early morning) and night!

Maddison
Maddison has always had a love for movement, growing up immersed in dance and gymnastics. After her dance and gymnastics days, she discovered group fitness and was instantly drawn to the energy and motivation that comes from working out in a community. Whether it was Barre, Yoga, Spin, Boxing, Surfset, or hitting the gym with friends, she thrived on the camaraderie and challenge of group classes.
However, following a car accident, she needed to shift her focus to lower-impact training. That’s when she found Pilates—and it felt like home. Her passion for the practice grew as she attended regular group classes and private sessions in Kelowna, where she deepened her understanding and refined her technique.
After moving back to Calgary in November 2022, she quickly immersed herself in teacher training at Junction 9. Now, she’s excited to share her love for Pilates and guide others through the practice that has been so transformative for her.
